We have had so much positive response with the planning of this park for handicapped children we have been overwhelmed. All kinds of people have offered their time to help us. 2 Acres of forested land have been cleared and we have removed stumps. With a little work next late spring a fence will go up and picnic benches and a pergola will go up. Meanwhile other goodies are in the workings but it will take a little more time for these to surface.
We have created both a pin and key chain to help raise funds for the 'Colby's Wishing Star Park'. These pins were designed by Carolyn Ann Torlot a jewelry designer and close friend of ours. They depict a lilac with 4 pink florets as a momento of the lilac we named for Colby: Syringa x 'Colby's Wishing Star'.
These items are $3.00USD or $4.00 CDN and all sales go to fund for work on the park.
The emphasis on the park will be to make the gardens special for handicapped children and their families to come and spend a day in nature and games and picnics. This area will be only open to families with handicapped children.  We want this to be a place to spend a day and have a picnic with the family where all the senses are awakened. It will be a step by step on going working of 2-3 years to complete what we want.
 
 

Spring material will be shipped from  April 25th to June 7th. If snow melts earlier we will start faster. Orders are processed in 2 fashions. Any established orders prior to March 20 gets priority. We will ship warmer zones first. Any orders placed after April 1st will go on the second string of order processing.
Once we begin to ship it goes quickly but like in 2001 the snow melted of only by April 21 and this caused some slow downs. If you do call or email to inquire about an order please use the same name as your family name and phone number on the order sheet.
Unless stated lilacs are hardy in USDA zones 2-7.
Superior root systems by Select Plus through our container production means that even when we shake off soil to ship, you are getting a lilac with lots of fiber roots. This will mean to you no shock and a shorter wait for bloom time.
This will not harm the quality of the plant. The plants are wrapped with enough humidity to get through the mail with no problems.
All plants have been grown in containers unless stated. The “g” refers to gallon showing what size pot  the plant has been grown in.
 
 

   We ask of you to indicate on the order sheet if you have a second choice. If you will accept no changes Select Plus International will reimburse you for the items, including respective charges.

   In order to reserve plants you have ordered, we require payment at the time the order is placed and will charge credit cards upon receipt of the order especially when regarding the early winter booking discounts.. Please make your check or money order payable to Select Plus International Nursery. We will not send confirmations of your order. Please keep a copy of your order. We do not send confirmations out as our catalogue is based on a fall inventory every year.
We try to fill the orders the best we can but sometimes we can not supply the plants requested due to climatic conditions. For amounts of $15.00 USD or less a credit note will be issued for a future purchase and shipping will be free..

Refunds and credits are done during the summer and fall. We are very busy trying to ship in the spring. We handle close to 5000 orders in a 5-6 week period.
We do our best to ship healthy plants and if there are problems please contact us as soon as you can.

We use only priority mail (USA) 2-3 day delivery and Expresspost (Canada) 1-2 day delivery for your plants.
If you require shipments quickly an express service is available at cost, next day delivery.
All plants come with a one season guarantee. If the plants fail to grow within 60 days of shipment please contact us and explain the problem.
It is to our fullest intent to have satisfied customers. If emailing or writing us about a plant please include your name, address, phone number and plant size so we may look into replacing it quickly for you. If you purchase plants from us at a show and they are taken home our guarantee covers them also but not postage to get new ones out to you.
