Dwarf lilacs have become very popular requiring much less space than large lilacs. They are mildew resistant as well as resistant much more to insects and diseases. Some even reflower during the summer.
Southern Blooming lilacs are those who grow into Zone 9 (Z9). These lilacs will also do excellent in colder climates.
