A very rare lilac. This is the only chinensis that is double to date and has beautiful reddish lavender flowers. It was thought lost until Colin Chapman identified in Gorb’s Russian notes the lilac called Polumakhrovaya. A Danish nursery man named Ole Heide went to Russian to see if it existed and there it was. A Lemoine lilac thought lost.
Probably of the most beautiful lilacs in our collection and definitely on my top 5 favorite list.

Florets are small and cupped but the amount of bloom and heavy sweet fragrance ranks this lilac as a good plant.

Huge luminous pink single florets that are of a lavender pink in color. This lilac always stops everyone to have a second look at it. The flowers just so huge and the plant stands as a focal point at our home. Even with other nice lilacs around it, it shines.
